Ohio Concealed Carry Course

The GiYu Dojo has teamed up with Brian K. LaMaster, a certified NRA instructor and President of Innovative Tactical Concepts, to offer you this exciting and essential course.

Ladies and Gentlemen: Are you thinking about getting your license to carry concealed in Ohio? The staff at Innovative Tactical Concepts are professional instructors who can help you achieve this goal. We find that many of our students do not have much range time in before taking our courses. So, if you do not shoot much or have not shot at all, we will make you feel very comfortable in our course. The class is 12 hours long (required by the state of Ohio—10 hours of classroom and 2 hours minimum of range time).
Our course exceeds the state requirements! We keep our classes small (normally 5-10 people) so that you receive individual instruction and the best quality training possible.
 
Ladies, we have courses exclusively for women taught by women! That’s right… you can learn everything you need to know about how to safely handle and shoot a handgun without being intimidated by the opposite sex! Women’s courses are taught by Michele LaMaster who is a certified NRA instructor. Michele is the Vice President of the women’s firearms programs at Innovative Tactical Concepts, LLC.
 
One great thing about our course is that you do not need to purchase a handgun prior to taking our course! We have guns that you can shoot to qualify with!
 
Courses are normally conducted in one day and on Saturdays. Weekday instruction is available upon request, but we require that you have at least 3 people who are willing to commit before we will schedule the event.
 
Although we do accept cash, payments can be made via credit card at the day of the class, or online via Paypal from our website. Major credit cards are accepted on Paypal as well. We do require a minimum of 3 people to hold a class. So please be sure to contact Innovative Tactical Concepts BEFORE paying online! We hold classes in Centerville, OH at the GiYu Dayton Dojo located at 960 Meadows Manor.
 
The course includes the following:
• Ohio Concealed Carry Laws
• Mindset necessary for proper concealed carry.
• Learn how to properly handle a firearm.
• Firearms functioning and operation.
• How to deal with the three basic types of firearm      
   malfunctions.
• Safe storage of firearms in the home.
• Ammunition handling and storage.
• Shooting Stances
• Drawing from concealment.
• Proper sight alignment.
• Live fire experience
• And much more…
 
What you will need for the course:
• Valid picture ID
• Safe working handgun (do not bring any guns in the  
   classroom!). Leave your guns in your vehicle until we    go to the range.
• Holster of choice.
• A minimum of 120 rounds of factory ammunition.
• Eye and ear protection.
 
We shoot rain or shine!
 
This is a one day course and costs a mere $150 per person.
